Ice Cream!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!  Anyone else remember this ditty we used to shout on warm summer days as we heard the tinkling music of the ice cream truck?  On today's card I used the image, Ice Cream #2, by Torico of Birdie Brown Digital Stamps.  Torico's designs always bring a smile to my face, and this double scoop ice cream cone with bows is no exception (you'll have to imagine me grinning from ear to ear).  Of course I had to pair the image with a mix of bright and cheery papers.  The design layout is My Favorite Things Sketch #122.

A Little Old Fashioned

I'm using Girl With a Rose by Birdie Brown today.  According to Torico (aka Birdie Brown), this image is the most popular in her shop.  There are so many coloring options with this little cutie, and she certainly caught my eye with her doggy ears and striped cropped leggings.  I went a bit old fashioned looking with this card.  The rose paper is from Crate Paper Pretty Party which has a vintage feel to it.  Coloring the image was quick and easy and the card came together in record time.

Here is the inside of this card.  It's pretty typical of how I finish the inside of cards.  I like to use the same papers as on the front of the card and add a little stamp to compliment or coordinate with the image on the front...in this case a rose.

Hot, Hot, Hot!

Have I mentioned it is HOT here in SW Florida?  With that thought in mind this card was born.  The image, Step On It, by Birdie Brown has a scale under her feet, but I couldn't resist trimming off the scale and putting her on a beach.  This image reminds me of all the first timers to the Gulf beaches.  Poor souls!  They have no idea how hot the sand can get.  You can see them tippy toeing quickly back to their towels or shoes with pained expressions on their faces.  I'll be sending this card to a friend up North, with the sentiment, "Wish you were here!"
