Outlawz Fridays Alcohol Markers Challenge - Cellulite

TGIF!  Today's Outlawz Fridays Alcohol Markers Challenge theme is "Tickle My Funny Bone".  You can choose any occasion as long as the card has a humorous element to it.  I've been a fan of Bugaboo for quite awhile, and today seemed the perfect time to use one of the Stella images.  I love this sentiment on the Frame it Stella Cellulite image!  Seems the older I get, the more of Stella's attitude I adopt (much to hubby's dismay, hehe)!

Not sure why this yellow cardstock continues to photograph as electric neon.  In real life it is a soft yellow.  One of these days I'll have to set up a better way to snap photos of my cards, and look to upgrading my camera.  Anyone have info on a camera they love?

Please join Carla, Dawn, Jen, Linda, Penny and me over at the Outlawz to share a giggle or two with us this week!  Everyone can use an additional humorous card in their stash!

Outlawz Fridays Alcohol Markers Challenge - Bon Voyage

TGIF!  And welcome to my first time as hostess for the Outlawz Fridays Alcohol Markers Challenge!  This week's theme is Travel.  There are soooo many possibilities with this theme!  Choosing just one image and one direction for my card took some time, but this cute image from Bugaboo Digi Stamps,  Boat Duckie, pulled my scattered ideas into a cohesive card.  Around the blogs, I'm seeing a trend of "window" or shadowbox cards.  I wanted to try my hand at this technique, and today's card is the result!  The waves and clouds behind Duckie are die cut and placed behind the window.  Duckie is fussy cut and popped up with foam.  I really enjoyed making this card, and plan to try this style of card again!

Please don't forget our sponsor this month, Bombshell Stamps, will be randomly-selecting one participant in this month's challenges to win a fabulous prize, so please come join Carla, Dawn, Jen, Linda, and me at the Outlawz Fridays Alcohol Markers Challenge.  I would really love to see some of my followers participate (especially since it is my first week as hostess...nudge,nudge).  Have a fun weekend!

Happy Birthday!

It's Wednesday!  And past time for me to get this card in the mail!  Yes, I got a little behind in making birthday cards, but this one using Bugaboo Digi Stamps image Birthday Balloon Girl will be flying out the door today and winging its way across the country.  For the card design, I flipped the Some Odd Girl February Sketch counterclockwise.

My friend has been going through a rough patch lately, so I'm hoping the bright colors in this card will cheer her up, and bring a bit of sunshine to her day.

Scarlette Mistletoe

It's Friday, and I'm looking forward to a relaxing weekend before the wedding crush/rush begins.  Anyone have special plans this weekend?

Scarlette Mistletoe from Bugaboo Stamps is one of those stamps that make me smile every time I see the image.  I like her sassy, but not overly sexy look...perfect for either gender's card.  In general, the Scarlette images are easy to color, and having naturally curly hair myself, I suppose I have an affinity to the tousled mop of Scarlette's.  You may notice the design of the card is nearly identical to the one I used for Merry Chrismouse.  Yep, I liked it so well I had to use it again, along with that fun red and white dotted paper!

Have a great weekend!

Ruby Christmas - Ornaments

Yes, it's another Bugaboo Christmas image!  Ruby Christmas Ornaments is perfectly suited to the SW Florida lifestyle, lol.  Where else would she be wearing a short strapless dress and spiked heels at Christmas time?!  Well, I suppose she could be an Aussie, but with the big bauble earrings, I still think she's a SW Florida gal.  It doesn't really show in the photo, but I've glittered the snowflakes and added some sparkle to her hair and ornaments with Spica Pens.  For her glasses' lens I used a Sakura Gelly Roll pen.

It's a Bugaboo Christmas Fest

Rather than bore you all with a week of Christmas cards, I decided to group the cards made using Bugaboo images together in one post.  Bugaboo has soooo many wonderful digis, and I'm especially fond of the Christmas ones.  The variety is amazing...cute, sassy, animals, kids, adults, etc.

First is Little Penguin Winter - Reindeer.  The front of the card has a window cut into it.  And I couldn't resist the question, hehe.

Next on deck is Little Penguin Winter - Candy Cane.  It doesn't show in the picture, but I glossed the holly berries and the candy on his hat.

Here's Ava Christmas - Sitter.  She is definitely one of my favorite images!  Do not be surprised if you see her on another card this season.

Using the same patterned papers (the other pieces of the circles cut for the previous card) this card features the digi Christmas Cupcake - Lights.

I think I got a little accent crazy on this card, but I like the little ornaments I made using a hole punch.  Isn't Poppy Xmas Tree so adorable?!

I'm not sure Scarlette Present is a Christmas digi, but I've used her as one!  The bottom present in her stack is paper pieced and I added a red pearl to the ribbon hanging from her skirt.

Dear Santa

When I saw the Santa paper in the Paper Studio "Santa and friends" 6x6 paper pack, I immediately thought of the Bugaboo stamp, JJ Ornaments Dear Santa.  This image makes me giggle and remember my single days, hehe!  Now the question is, which of my single and slightly naughty friends will receive this card for Christmas?  Maybe I'll have to make more than one!

Not sure how much I'll be around this week as I've been called for jury duty.  I don't mind doing my "civic duty", but after years of working in Criminal Justice, I get too bored in court....seen it and heard it a thousand times.  Wish me luck and hope I don't fall asleep in the jury box.  Judges really don't appreciate that!

Holly Cupcake Christmas

Are you tired of Christmas yet, lol?  The image on today's card is another Bugaboo design.  However, in my humble opinion it was misnamed.  Its official name is mistletoe cupcake, but it looks like holly to me, so holly it is!  I used my quickkutz holly die and some red gems to make the accents.  The berries on the image were glazed and the stars were outlined with a glitter pen.

Merry And Bright

Christmas continued with more Bugaboo!  This sweetie is Ava Christmas - Mistletoe Fairy.  The card is a little more graphic in design than usual for me, but I fell in love with the diamond patterned paper and had to use it.  The trees are felt die cuts I purchased, and the stamped sentiment is from a Verve set my sister bought me for Christmas last year (see Deb, I've actually used it!)

It's difficult to see in the photo, but her hair is lightly tinged with pale green.  Keeping the red, green, and white theme seemed important for this card, so I didn't want to add an additional color for her hair.

Sugar Plums and Candy Canes

More Christmas!  Today's card features a Bugaboo design from a Christmas set I purchased last year. (Sorry, I don't see it currently listed on the Bugaboo website, but Jodie might have plans to reissue it for this season.)  The set included seven cupcakes...candy canes (today's image), gingerbread, mistletoe, ornaments, poinsettia, presents, and Christmas lights.  I haven't yet colored them all, but stay tuned for a few that may appear on my blog in the next few days.

The picture doesn't show it, but I glazed the candy canes and "sugar plums" (red balls), so they are nice and glossy!  The candy cane accents were cut with my Silhouette.
