Celebrating You Today
Happy Saturday! Hope you all are enjoying a warm, sunny weekend. Today's card features the Whimsie Doodles image, USA Lizzie. I just love her little cardigan sweater! Two of my mom's friends have July 4th birthdays, so I had to play along with the Seize the Birthday Sketch Challenge #19, with little Lizzie as the "Star" (sorry, couldn't resist, lol).

CASE of a Mary J Card
It's Monday! Time for putting noses back to the grindstone. Well, not really for me since I'm a stay at home housewife now, but I remember those days. To all of you still in the workforce, hope you have a productive and worthwhile day!
Today's card is a CASE of a Mary J card from June 5, 2012. You can see Mary's card here on her blog, Where's my creativity (her cards are amazing!)? When I saw this card, I knew instantly that I had to CASE it! So adorable! Instead of using the Whimsie Doodles image Watermelon Dress, I used Watermelon Treat. Mary, I hope you like my version of your card!

Big Gift
Why is it that I seem to have such trouble coloring presents? Once again I had to paper piece the gift on an image (shaking head in disbelief). However, it turned out to be a good thing! Whimsie Doodles Big Gift digi looks right at home with the Christmas tree and presents behind her. White Flower Soft mixed with a bit of flocking and glitter add a bit of texture and sparkle to this little one's Santa hat.

Peas on Earth
This stamp from Whimsie Doodles really makes me giggle! When I spied it on Shannon's blog, Enchanted Ladybug Creations, I knew I had to purchase this digi and make a card. Like Shannon, I paper pieced the "Earth" and colored the peas, their caps, and ear muffs. My snowflake accent kind of gets lost on this card, but I didn't want anything to distract focus from the image.

Snowflake Lizzie
Happy Tuesday! Just popping in for a quick minute to share a card I made using Whimsie Doodles Snowflake Lizzie. Isn't she the cutest little angel! She is part of the WD November release. I limited the color on this card to blue and white, as I wanted to keep a cool feel to the card. However, I really like this wee snow angel and might have to color her again with red hair.
Have a lovely day!
Update: I've entered this card in the Sweet Stamping Pixies Challenge. Thank you Pam for the suggestion!

An Oops Moment
Thankfully I don't have too many of them, but I certainly had a big "Oops Moment" with today's card. While experimenting with embellishments, one of the candy canes attached itself to the card in absolutely the wrong spot! When I tried to remove it, pieces of the background paper came up with it, yikes! So, now my choices were 1. Try to lift the image, Leah in PJ's from Whimsie Doodles , without damaging her and place on a new background or 2. Cover up the damaged paper and hope the misplaced embellishments don't look too wonky. I chose option number 2. Certainly not the card I'd envisioned making, but it is what it is. At least little Leah is still adorable!

Have a Bee-utiful Day!
Cute alert! How adorable is this little one? Say hello to BEEatrice from Whimsie Doodles. She was a joy to color. Of course she had to wear yellow and black. I gave her wings a touch of pale green and covered them in Stickles glitter. Black cardstock, white cardstock embossed with a flower pattern, white dotted black patterned paper, a scrap of yellow patterned paper with a sentiment added, a die cut border, and a pale yellow ribbon came together in harmony to create the card.

Kisses and Hugs
Today's little sweetie is Leah's Secret by Whimsie Doodles. Yes, I know she's supposed to be keeping a secret, but to me she looked like she was blowing kisses. I kinda used the Mojo Monday Sketch 245 as a layout for the card. After moving the pieces around, this is what I came up with. Not quite what the sketch mapped out, but I'm happy with the way the card looks. The yellow dotted paper is from Bo Bunny and the other papers are from Die Cuts With a View Spring Fling. The yellow pearls were colored with a copic marker to match the yellow paper. Sending you all Kisses and Hugs for a fabulous weekend!
